Hola!

We're home! Well ok maybe we've been home for a couple of weeks but y'all have been keeping me busy with all these cakeball orders! Which by the way.. thank you thank you THANK YOU!! Keep 'em coming. :)

I have seriously had so many orders in the past couple of weeks that I honestly couldn't pick just one to show you today so I decided on a variety post. These are just a few of my fun favorites from the past month...

Sweet Baby Boy Shower. I've done a lot of experimenting with colors recently and it has been pretty successful (most of the time). I love this baby blue, white, and brown combo, but I've also done powder blue & red, Teal and brown, and pink, brown and yellow for baby showers recently and they all worked really well together! But here is my favorite color combo so far...

Oh purple... some people think "Barney" or "Lakers" - I think total elegance and royalty! This great mix of purple, plum, and a little silver sparkle was probably one of the most fun orders for me to decorate yet.

These little babies were some serious booty for the scallywags at Griffin's first birthday party.. Ha.. haha. Nothing like a little oreo, pb, and yellow cake to shiver me timbers! Sorry, couldn't help myself. I'm done now. Promise.

Just a little assortment. Some red velvet, german chocolate, Lemon, toffee nut, chocolate, white chocolate, vanilla, and coconut.

So as you can see I'm staying busy but I would LOVE to be a part of your next event too!! Just shoot me an e-mail at adrienne.gutierrez86@yahoo.com.

I have a super great friend working on a real website for me but until it's up, here is a little breakdown of my prices:
1-3 dozen : $15/dozen
4-8 dozen : $14/dozen
9+ dozen : $12/dozen

I can do pretty much any flavor or color so you name it you got it!

Ok now I couldn't resist... here are a couple of shots from our month of sunbathing on the beach, swimming with sea turtles, hiking in the mountains, haninging out in the French Quarter, and much much more...

Oh sweet summer we will miss you!

"Oreo, meet Nutter Butter..."

After experimenting with dozens of cake/icing combos for my cakeballs, I was ecstatic to get an order for something different, a little simpler, but still out of this world - Oreo Balls!

My husband Mark loves my cakeballs but he is pretty much obsessed with these babies. It wouldn't surprise me if he tries to sneak some on our trip to Mexico next week.

Turns out, they are a huge hit with just about everybody! I like them, but I am much more of a peanut butter fan soo..

NUTTER BUTTER BALLS! (With dainty little peanut butter flowers, of course!) Now that's what I'm talking about. Sweet, smooth, creamy awesomeness packed in a thin chocolate shell.. sure sounds like heaven to me.

If you are interested in giving these a try, I have an extra dozen that I just made last night that I NEED to get out of here before I can no longer fit in my beach clothes. $10 for the dozen - e-mail me if you are interested (adrienne.gutierrez86@yahoo.com).

As you can see I was a busy little bee last week:Business is picking up but I am definitely not too busy for your next event! Please e-mail me if you are interested in placing an order! adrienne.gutierrez86@yahoo.com
I am leaving town on Friday but when I get back, my next challenge is Cheesecake balls!

Everything's Fancier With a Little Paisley

Anyone who knows me knows what a total girlie girl I am. I LOVE ruffles, lace, pretty little bows and flowers, basically anything dainty and feminine. While many people may not get this particular obsession, God blessed me with a fabulous friend who totally shares my taste.

Miss Molly Collins is one of my dearest friends and I am ecstatic about her upcoming wedding to her love, Mr. Sam Crites. In planning the cakeballs for her Bridal shower, I wanted to do something perfectly suited to her spunky yet elegant sense of style but it took me no time at all to make a decision - PAISLEY! Molly absolutely loves paisley (Seriously, that's even the name of her dog!). So here's what I came up with...

As you can see, her colors are orange and green :) Super cute and summery.

Left batch - Chocolate/ Right batch - French Vanilla. While I was pleased with how the paisley turned out, they were extremely time consuming so I decided 8 of them was plenty.

Congratulations Sam and Molly! You guys are completely made for each other and I cannot wait to be a part of your special day. It'll be here before you know it!

If you are interested in ordering some custom-made cakeballs for your upcoming event (or just to snack on :) shoot me an e-mail! adrienne.gutierrez86@yahoo.com.

Ok i just had to throw this in here to show off how good my man looks in a tux :) We were so honored to be a part of my amazing cousin, Aaron's wedding. Beautiful ceremony. Beautiful bride. Beautiful life together now begun. Love you guys!

God Bless Cakeballs

Happy Memorial Day!

No school, no work, pool party with the whole family, AND cakeballs?! Really, does it get any better?

Now I will admit that I frequently make cakeballs for pretty insignificant events (mostly to experiment... and I guess my sweet tooth is occassionally a factor :) but what could be more worthy of a ball of Red Velvety goodness than the men and women that have sacrificed everything for our freedom. So these are my small but completely sincere token of gratitude!

Just a reminder that 4th of July is coming up and these sweet little treats go great with hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ, pretty much anything you plan to throw on the grill!

BONUS: Check out this video of my awesome family FINALLY accomplishing the multi-tiered-pool-landscaping-football-toss after only 50+ tries! They're thinking of going pro.

Hey there friend!

Welcome to my first blog EVER! I hope you brought your appetite because each week I will be posting my latest cakeball creations :).

First I would just like to kick off with a couple of basics -Chocolate, Vanilla and Peanut Butter Chocolate.

(Better photography in the future... I promise!)

I made these for one of my first paying customers (cha CHING!) for a book signing. As I predicted, the Peanut Butter/Chocolate were an especially big hit! Evidently the men in my house thought so too because the extras I had stashed to share with friends mysteriously dissappeared after only a couple of days...

This is only the beginning of the flavors and custom designs I have to offer so if you are interested shoot me an e-mail! adrienne.gutierrez86@yahoo.com I would LOVE to be a part of your special event - Birthday parties, Holiday parties, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Bachelerette Parties, late night snack.. you name it!
